For the leader and for each respondent group — managers, direct reports, peers and others — a bar chart pairs that group’s average rating with the global norm group’s average, with the percentile rank beneath. The bottom line

The Global Leadership Assessment (GLA360) measures 15 leadership competencies across five clusters. It helps leaders working in diverse, cross-cultural environments — and adapting to AI — identify where focused development matters most.

It was co-developed with Accenture through an international research program involving leaders from 200+ organizations and the field’s leading thinkers, and every result is ranked against a normative reference group of 19,000 leaders.

Competencies

What the GLA360 measures

Process

How it works

The leader and their selected respondents complete the survey online. The report is ready within seconds after completion for a certified coach debrief. That debrief can stand on its own or open a Triple Win Leadership Coaching engagement.

  1. Select respondents

The leader chooses coworkers whose feedback gives a comprehensive view.

  2. Distribute assessments

The automated platform sends invitations and follow-up reminders.

  3. Collect responses

Responses are gathered and monitored as they come in.

  4. Analyze data

The report — radar graph, competency map, full drill-down — plus AI-generated analysis and a debrief companion guide.

  5. Host debrief session

Identify strengths, choose 1–2 development areas and create an action plan with your coach.

CEOs and HR executives across 200+ organizations provided the real-world perspective used to test and refine the 15 competencies, sharpening the questions that measure them.

  3. Phase Three · Validate

    200+ Organizations Across 6 Continents

Responses from leaders across 200+ organizations in 100 countries were statistically tested for reliability, construct validity and discriminant validity, confirming the final 15 competencies and the questionnaire that measures them.

Research note: how these figures relate

The figures in the timeline describe the original research and validation program documented in Global Leadership: The Next Generation: 18 thought leaders and futurists, discussions with Fortune Global 100 CEOs, and leaders from 200+ organizations across industry and government in 100 countries on six continents. Today’s percentile rankings are calculated against the GLA360’s normative reference group of 19,000 international leaders from a wide range of countries, ages, organizational levels, industries and educational backgrounds. That norm group and the questionnaire are reviewed and updated over time, most recently in 2025.

FAQ

GLA360 Assessment FAQ

What is the GLA360?

The Global Leadership Assessment (GLA360) is a scientifically validated, psychometric 360-degree leadership assessment. It measures the 15 competencies, grouped in 5 clusters, that are most critical for leaders in diverse, cross-cultural and international work environments. The leader and their coworkers rate the same behaviors, so the report shows how others experience the leader’s leadership alongside the leader’s own view.

Who is the GLA360 for?

The GLA360 is built for leaders at any level — from CEOs to first-line people managers — working in diverse, cross-cultural environments, including those now adapting to AI, and for the coaches, HR and L&D professionals who support them. Its competencies were identified through international research co-developed with Accenture, so they reflect what matters most for those leaders and, in turn, for the teams and organizations they lead.

What is the best 360 leadership assessment?

The best 360 is the one built for the leadership context you are developing. Each tool has a different lens: the Leadership Circle Profile pairs competency ratings with the beliefs and assumptions behind them; CCL Benchmarks offers level-specific versions tied to CCL’s research; the Hogan 360 compares a leader’s self-view with others’ feedback against Hogan’s global database; Korn Ferry 360 aligns to a configurable competency framework. The GLA360 was built through international research co-developed with Accenture and focuses on the 15 competencies that matter for leaders working across diversity, cultures, change and business boundaries, with multilingual administration and a report designed for a coach debrief. It fits best when that international, cross-cultural context is the development priority.

How many questions does it include, how long does it take, and how quickly is the report produced?

The GLA360 includes 72 rating questions on a 5-point scale plus 3 open-response questions — 75 in total — and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. The report is generated within seconds after completion.

What languages does the GLA360 support?

The GLA360 assessment platform is available in 13 languages, including Chinese in Simplified and Traditional scripts: English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Dutch, German, Polish, Russian, Lithuanian, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Korean and Japanese. Leaders and their respondents can each complete the survey in their own language.

How many respondents can be included?

Each GLA360 assessment covers one leader and can include an unlimited number of respondents. We recommend a minimum of five; most leaders select 5 to 15 respondents, depending on how many managers, direct reports, peers and other coworkers they want to involve.

How do I get certified to use it?

Coaches and HR or L&D professionals can get certified to manage, debrief and coach with the GLA360 through GCG’s GLA360 Certification, included in the PCC (ICF Level 2) program or available standalone.

How much does a GLA360 assessment cost?

GLA360 is available through certified coaches as part of assessment, debriefing and coaching services. Fees depend on the services included; contact us for a quote.
